The project consists in the planning of a new multifunctional complex  in the northern side of “Cascina Merlata”, Milan. This area is located in the North-West side of Milan, between the old city centre and the external suburbs and beside the main city Highway (A4) and the Expo 2015 village.
The project has two main aims: on one hand to transform the area in a new livable centre,  on the other hand to create a connection between the city and the Expo village. The complex is composed of a long building (horizontal landmark) that runs parallel to the “A4”, attached to which there are a tower (vertical landmark) and some other buildings: a theater, two offices, a conference room and a exhibition room. The bridge that connects “Cascina Merlata” to the Expo Village starts in the spot where the two landmarks intersect each other. The accesses to the Hotel and to the bridge are provided through a big building-ramp, that holds a parking-lot and the Hotel reception.
